From concept to finishes, we can work together to create exactly what you want.

Commissioned Art: Pricing and Process

The Commissioning Process

  • Initial Consultation: We will schedule a meeting to discuss your vision for the artwork, including the subject matter, colors, desired size, and timeline.

  • I will draw up a contract which will outline the costs, payment schedule and timeline for the project.

  • Digital Rendering (Optional): If you require a digital rendering for approval, I will provide this for a fee of 25% of the completed project cost. This fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from the overall cost of the project.

  • Finalization and Completion: Once the design and quote is approved, I will begin creating your artwork.

Pricing Structure:

Canvas Artwork

The price for original artwork on canvas or metal is calculated based on the linear inches of the piece.

The rate is $60 per linear inch, which is determined by adding the length and width of the canvas and multiplying by $60.

Price = (Length + Width) x $60

Mural Artwork

If you are looking to add a splash of color and interest to a blank wall, a custom mural may be the best option around. Because painting a mural comes with a whole set of unique challenges, it also comes with a unique pricing scale. The base price is determined by size, location, surface material and other factors that may affect the job.

Additional Fees

  • Travel Fees (hotel/food/transportation)

  • Equipment rental (scissor lift/scaffold)

  • Liability Insurance

  • Supplies

  • Other

Rush Orders

For paintings that require immediate completion, an additional 25% will be added to the base price of the piece to account for the expedited timeline and potential adjustments to my schedule.
